First Challenge Polar Bear Jump

Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump 2/20/2016 - Completed


Approximately 725 bold souls jumped into the icy waters of the Portage Lakes Feb. 20, to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Akron and Camp Quality Ohio.

----> Jump in the lake in the middle of February!?! Sure why not! and it is for a good cause, kids cancer.

I was so lucky the date of the challenge the weather was uncharacteristically warm for February 70 degrees but the water was still 35 degrees. I also was luck that I was able to get my son, Sean to jump with me for the challenge.
