I have to say it is pretty nice to open up the paper and see your press release unchanged. It was in the Akron Beacon Journal, and the Cuyahoga Falls Press. I am so indebted to my newspaper friends! I don't know what I would do without their friendship, advice, and support.

Cuyahoga Falls, OH. – Expect
lots of fun for the 7th Annual IRISH 5K run and 1 mile run on June
14th at 8 AM.,
both races start and finish at Falls River Square Amphitheater, 2085 Front St,
Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Western Reserve Racing
will be chip timing the 5K with results posted on their website immediately
following the run at http://www.westernreserveracing.com. The street course goes
through some of the streets of Cuyahoga Falls with a water stop at the half way
point of the course. We are expecting more than 300 runners and walkers. For
those who don’t run there will be cheer bags with noise makers and street chalk
to decorate the race course before the race.
The Irish 5K & 1
mile fun run is part of the 21st Annual Riverfront Irish Festival
June 13th – 15th a celebration of Irish Heritage. The
FREE, family friendly event features three stages of music, the Irish market
place with traditional Irish and American fare, Irish Mass on Sunday, and
traditional Irish dancers. A full list of entertainment is at www.riverfrontirishfest.com.
Awards will be given to
top male and female runner, 7 different age groups, fastest kilted runner, and
all 1 mile walkers. Refreshments of baked potatoes with all the fixings from The
Sheraton Suites and Beau’s on the River, fresh fruit and water will be provided
for the runners. Registration is $25 for 5K and $15 for 1 mile fun run before
06/06/2014 after that date $35 5K and $25 1 mile. Moister wicking running
shirts will be guaranteed to the first 200 registered runners. Pre- race packet
pick up Friday June 13th at the information booth from 6 to 8 PM or
race day at 7 AM. All runners should arrive 1 hour before the race if not
pre-registered with the race starting exactly at 8 AM and 1 mile run 5 minutes
after. Registration forms are available at www.riverfrontirishfest.com, www.irishfivek.weebly.com or Active.com. The Irish 5K and Festival are
charitable 501c3 events with some proceeds going to many local charities
including the MacCanamara dance moms, Akron Celtic Guard, Boy Scouts Troup 177,
and American Cancer Society.
